Stamp Out Hunger with NALC on Second Sat in May

Since 1993, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) has hosted a nationwide food drive on the second Saturday in May.

On this day, letter carriers collect non-perishable food donations while delivering mail along their routes, using the incredible reach of the postal network to put food on the table. It’s one of the toughest days of the year for these dedicated carriers, and their extra work helps stock local food pantries, making summer food assistance programs possible for countless families facing food insecurity.

The Lima Post Office is once again spearheading the local effort, so if you live in one of the Lima area ZIP codes, you can help the West Ohio Food Bank!

Simply leave your donation of non-perishable food in a bag near your mailbox on Saturday, May 9, and your letter carrier will do the rest.
